Notably Quotable — Week Ending 12/18/11
We get so bent out of shape trying to figure out the will of God because we think the will of God is circumstantial. It’s primarily attitudinal. It’s not about your circumstances. It’s about how you handle those circumstances. It’s not about changing your circumstances. It’s about changing you! God is less concerned about what you do and where you go. He’s more concerned about who you’re becoming. You already know the will of God: ‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’ (1 Thess. 5:16-18). If you are doing those things then you are doing the will of God.
