Fear Is A Bully
You’ll be okay.
You’ll get through this.
Even though it may not seem like it right now.
Right now it seems impossible.
Right now it seems too big.
Right now all the “what if’s” are threatening to submerge you in a mental and emotional tsunami.
Because that’s what fear does.
It threatens to overtake.
It shows the wrong future.
It’s a hostage taker and an incapacitator.
Fear is a bully.
But you know what?
(And I’ve learned this the hard way.)
Fear has only the power we surrender to it.
It has only the life we breathe into it.
It is fed only by the nourishment we provide.
And you know what else?
It has an enemy.
And you get to choose.
Jesus or fear.
I prayed to the Lord and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. -Psalm 34:4

with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. -Philippians 4:6
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and
your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:7
When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. -Psalm 94:19

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. -Psalm 46:1
